The recovered 31 Aug–6 Sep Weekly now includes the full canonical week. GPT-6 Astra moved frontier cyber capability into a new risk regime; AI-assisted mathematics spanned formalization, counterexamples, proof construction, a Shannon-capacity lower bound and two additional September 6 proofs; PACMAN pushed AI into real fusion experiments; and several frontier models shipped. Verification, long-horizon reliability and embodied generalization remained binding, so Readiness and forecast stayed unchanged.
This week pushed frontier systems further into autonomous research, physical laboratories and open-weight efficiency while also exposing a major control failure. The evidence is consequential but does not yet justify changing Readiness or the ASI forecast.
AI for Science was the only ASI-core domain to move materially this week, driven by externally wet-lab-validated autonomous protein design and a dense cluster of AI-linked mathematical results. SynBio also advanced on positive Phase 3 personalized mRNA melanoma results. Intelligence and Robotics showed important capability signals but not enough independent reliability evidence to move maturity. ASI forecast remains unchanged.
The week strengthened the AI-for-Science case more than the raw frontier-model ceiling: Claude-assisted mathematics produced a major Riemann-related partial result and a human-AI system tightened Grothendieck bounds, while Grok 4.6, DeepSeek V4 Pro and Gemini 3.7 Flash reinforced the frontier/agent race without establishing a clear new global capability ceiling. Robotics showed capital and manufacturing scale signals, but not enough new autonomy evidence. ASI Readiness is 58.2/100, up 0.4 points from the methodology-reset baseline through the Science component; the rolling ASI forecast remains unchanged at 2/6/12/30/81% over 1/2/3/5/10 years.
Astra dominated the week; Figure F.03 was the other major signal.
