Proceeds target embodied-AI models, data, hardware/software R&D, mass-production capacity and global expansion; XPENG targets 1,000 IRON humanoids/month by end-2026.
Galbot reports that its humanoid robots sustained more than 100 consecutive autonomous tennis rallies against human athletes at the World Humanoid Robot Games, with real-time perception, positioning, shot selection and recovery. The performance was live-broadcast, but the autonomy claim and rally count have not yet been independently audited.
At the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games, X-Humanoid robots ran 100 m in 9.39 s and reached 2.88 m in a standing high jump, both above the corresponding human world-record marks. Honor separately reported a 9.32 s 100 m trial for its Lightning humanoid, with a 14.5 m/s peak speed. The result is a notable locomotion/mechatronics frontier signal, but it does not demonstrate broader autonomy, dexterity or general-purpose embodied intelligence.
Unitree began trading on Shanghai's STAR Market on 19 August 2026 after raising about $900 million. Shares closed 460% above the IPO price, valuing the company at roughly $50 billion. This is a capital and industrial-scaling signal, not evidence of a new autonomy or embodied-intelligence capability.
Generalist AI reports that GEN-1.5 can execute previously unseen short-horizon manipulation tasks after a single 3–12 second physical demonstration with no gradient update, averaging 59% success across 10 internal tasks; few-step adaptation reaches 83% after about five minutes of task data. The company also reports compositional prompting, sim-to-real prompting and some human-to-robot transfer. Results are first-party and success remains modest on short atomic tasks.
Unitree’s Shanghai STAR Market IPO raised about 6.1 billion yuan while the retail tranche was reported more than 8,000 times oversubscribed. Independent reporting also describes Unitree as profitable and among the largest humanoid suppliers by sales. This is evidence that general-purpose robotics can attract substantial capital and manufacturing scale, but it is not evidence of improved autonomy, reliability, intervention rate or generalized task performance.
A Brett Adcock video showed Figure F.03 repeatedly climbing a steep staircase autonomously for about two hours, leading to an upward correction of robotics sub-indicators while ASI remained unchanged.
